Dunedin Palms Motel has been owned by Karen and Alex Greenan since April of 2014. We have a dedication towards providing top quality accommodation at fair rates and always being honest.
We have an efficient friendly team that always serve with a smile. They are known for being very accommodating to guests and are always professional. We also have a team of dedicated Housekeeping staff to keep the motel in top condition.

Payment Policy
Credit card details will be used as a guarantee only; no charges will be taken at time of booking Unless it is a Non-Refundable booking. Payment for all accommodation must be made in full upon checking in (other costs incurred during your stay should be paid for upon checking out).
Payment can be made via:
- Credit Card (Credit card fees apply 2.5%.)
- Eftpos payment at Reception
- Invoiced back to a company account (this must be set up at time of booking)
- Paid Via Direct Debit (Funds must clear 24 hours prior to check-in)
Please Note: NO CASH PAYMENTS are accepted for accomodation.
Cancellation Policy
48 hour cancellation policy if booking is cancelled within 48 hours of 1st day of stay, 1 nights room charge will be taken from credit card and invoiced. Cancellation policy for holiday, graduation periods, and other special events held in Dunedin, 1 weeks’ notice of cancellation is required, or one night’s accommodation will be charged. Group bookings, one night’s accommodation per room will be charged if cancelled within 21 days of stay - 1 night per room will be charged. Please Note: if your booking is a NON-Refundable booking the cancellation policy does not apply - the booking is NON-Refundable.
Child Policy
Room rates quoted on the web are for two guests per room, all other extra guests are charged $25 per person including all children.
Check In Policy
SMOKING: Smoke free complex. Please smoke in designated smoking areas, outside away from open windows, doors and other guests. In the event of someone having smoked in the room we will engage a specialist cleaning company. We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.
BATHROOM HEATERS: Bathroom heaters are NOT to be left on overnight. Guest responsible for any call out fees for fire alarms. Call out fee for unnecessary fire alarms is approx $1000NZ from NZ Fire Department.
COOKING: No strong cooking odors - Doors/windows to be open while cooking. Guest will incur any cost associated with extra cleaning from specialist cleaning companies.
VISITORS: Permitted at management’s discretion. The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. No parties tolerated. Visitors to be out by 9pm.
DAMAGES: All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and costs associated with inappropriate behavior resulting in loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest.
NO Pets allowed.
CHANGES TO RESERVATION: Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation.
