Cabins have a double bed with single bunk above and a pull out divan bed.

Top Linen (sheet/duvet/sleeping bag) and bath towels required, pillows/pillowslips and bottom sheets provided only. Linen available for hire at $7 per person per night.

Equipped with TV, heating, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, table & chairs.

Guests use communal showers, toilets and camp kitchen.

NO DOGS ALLOWED WITH CABIN BOOKINGS

Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. Milk is available for purchase from our onsite shop.

Great Lake Taupo Holiday Park is situated only 3 kilometres (5 minute drive) from the town centre and is set in 5 acres of sheltered park-like grounds, surrounded by farmland.
We offer a choice of clean quality accommodation(deluxe cabins and standard cabins). Also powered and non powered campsites.

Car Parking

Each unit has one allocated parking space. Please advise at time of booking if you are bringing more than one vehicle or a trailer, boat etc. Conditions apply if you are staying during our peak season.

Directions to Property

From North on State Highway 1 turn right at the top of the hill taking the Acacia Bay/Kinloch turnoff, (Poihipi Road). Take first left into Acacia Bay Road and continue approx. 3 kms to Great Lake Holiday Park Taupo on the right hand side.

From South on State Highway 1 through Taupo Central veer left at roundabout and cross Control Gate Bridge, take first turn on the left (Norman Smith Street) and continue to T-junction. Turn left into Acacia Bay Road and continue approx. 1.8 kms to Great Lake Holiday Park Taupo on the right hand side.

Damages Policy - any loss or damage to the unit or cabin as a result of willful or accidental damage, may be charged to the guest as well as any costs associated with additional cleaning requirements that may be incurred by the park.

Smoking Policy - No smoking allowed in units or main camp kitchen and shower block.

Noise policy - Quietness between 10.30pm and 7.30am.
Excess drinking and parties forbidden. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any person and to remove from the park any person who in their opinion does not conduct themselves in a decent and reasonable manner. No refund will be made in such circumstances.

Visitor Policy - Visitors must report to the office for security. Your visitors are your responsibility and must depart by 10.00pm (they must not be entertained in the rooms). Visitors' cars are to be parked on the road. .....Please note - At peak times and event weekends we have a NO VISITOR policy due to the holiday park being at full capacity.

Pets policy - Dogs allowed by prearrangement only..........We welcome your dog onto our property with the following rules:---
Dogs must be supervised at all times & never left unattended including inside your tent, caravan or campervan.
When outside, Dogs must be on a lead at all times & are only permitted on your site. Be considerate that some guests are not comfortable with dogs near them or their children.
For health & safety reasons over our busy summer season, pets cannot be walked within the park.
If your dog likes to bark, it may not be happy in our park. Pets creating a disturbance or being a nuisance will not be tolerated.
Dog owners are responsible for picking up & disposing of their pet’s waste in a sealed bag & disposing of it in rubbish bins.
Dog owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour. It is the owners’ responsibility to prevent their pet from making excessive noise, being disruptive or aggressive behaviour to other guests or pets.
Dog owners are personally responsible for any & all injuries/& or property damage or losses in relation to any actions caused by or because of their dog.
Your assistance will help us in maintaining our park as a safe place for all families.
If any of the above requirements are not met, the park’s owners reserve the right to ask you to leave without a refund at their discretion.

Payment Policy

PAYMENT : All bookings require a deposit of one nights stay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or Direct Credit. Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit is received.

For any booking longer than one night during peak seasons, or statutory holiday weekends and event weekends; a deposit of two nights is required.

Full payment of stay is required on arrival and no refunds will be issued for early departure or reduction in booked numbers.

BANK FEE - There is a 2% bank fee when paying by card.

CHANGES TO A BOOKING - Following confirmation of a booking, any changes to your booking may incur an administration fee. If the booking date is changed and then you cancel, there is no refund available.

CHECK IN : FROM 1PM ON DAY OF ARRIVAL

CHECK OUT : BY 10AM ON DAY OF DEPARTURE

Cancellation Policy

In the case of a cancellation up to 10 days prior to date of arrival, you will be charged 50% of your deposit payment (with a minimum charge of $20.00).
In the case of a cancellation at 10 days or less there is no refund of your deposit payment.
There are no exceptions to these policies.

Child Policy

Children : Children are classed from 2 - 14 years inclusive.
Infants : Infants are aged less than 2 years old and stay for free.
