Omau Settlers Lodge, Cape Foulwind is located on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, overlooking the Tasman Sea, just ten kilometres west of the town of Westport.
A short drive to nearby Tauranga Bay is home to a fur seal breeding colony, also accessible from the motel by a well-maintained walking track, The Cape Foulwind Walkway.
Cape Foulwind is an ideal base for holiday makers and visitors who want to explore the untamed natural wilderness of the West Coast.
Payment Policy
Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on the day of arrival (if not already done so). Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made up to 2 days before the booked date incur no charges. If a reservation is cancelled within 48 hours or arrival, the first night may be charged.
No Shows:
One nights accommodation will be charged where guests fail to arrive by our office closure time.
Special conditions apply to group bookings as per our group policy below.
Group Cancellation Policy:
A group booking is for four or more units and our Group Cancellation Policy will apply.
- Any notice of cancellation must be given in writing direct to the motel.
- Cancellations received within 60 days of the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee which is tiered as follows:
* If cancelled between 30-60 days a cancellation fee of 10% of the value of the entire booking will apply
* If cancelled between 20-30 days a cancellation fee of 50% of the value of the entire booking will apply
* If cancelled between 0-10 days a cancellation fee of 100% of the value of the entire booking will apply.
In all cases, every effort will be made to re-let the booked accommodation and, if successful, a partial refund may be given at the discretion of the management.
A credit card or deposit is required to confirm all reservations.
