Lighter Quay Stratis
Lighter Quay is a quiet complex on the eastern side of the Viaduct Harbour within walking distance to the cafes and restaurants but far enough way to be peaceful. The modern glass and concrete design allows the light to fill every apartment, a private waterway/marina in the centre is a pleasant surprise. Fantastic facilities that include an indoor heated swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and fully equipped gymnasium. Stroll around the Viaduct Basin or over the Te Wero Pedestrian Bridge for a drink at one of the many cafes and restaurants in the area or up to the new vibrant Wynyard Quarter & North Wharf areas. The Stratis Block is one of four blocks in the complex, it is on the eastern side with views across the Viaduct Marina.

Apartment 209S
This 70sqm 1st floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom furnished apartment has an open plan living area with a conservatory to catch the morning sun. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, the conservatory acts as a dining room and large windows can be opened right up to bring the outside in. Unlimited Wifi included. Bedrooms have a queen and a king bed which can split into twins if required. Secure underground carpark within the building included. Apartment serviced weekly including full linen & towel change. No smoking or e cigarettes in apartment or on the balcony please, the entire complex is smokefree.

Car Park Number: Car park S5 (please note, if you park in the wrong car park you will be towed at your expenses). Height restriction is 2.1m in the garage.


To enter the apartment building from Halsey Street

  • Place round swipe against black pad to left of main front gate to unlock. Walk across the carpark area to the Stratis building in front of you. The entrance is on your right down the stairs. Take the second lift to level 2, (you will need the silkey to use the lift) turn right and your apartment 209 will be on your left.

  • When opening the door push it open a little bit then let it drop back before fully opening it. This is a security/door stop thing.


To locate your car park

  • From Halsey St, take the down ramp at the left hand side of the main entrance (signage that says “79 – 89) and place round swipe against black pad on your right from a post hanging from the ceiling to unlock the iron grille. Drive straight to the far wall then turn right. The space S5 will be on your left.


To access your apartment from this car park area

  • Exit into the Stratis building the lift is by the exit doors. Take the lift to your apartment. Remember you will need your silkey to call the lift.    

  • The Rubbish Room is located by the door to the stairs/lift on level 2.

  • It is recommended that dishwasher powder be used in the Dish drawer. Please wash dishes before checkout.

  • NO SMOKING inside the apartment please.

  • Please be aware that Lighter Quay is a residential complex and respect your neighbours with regard to noise. Should the security guard be called to your apartment due to a complaint then you will be liable for this call out fee. We also have the right to evict due to breaking of body corp rules.



  • CHECKOUT TIME IS 10 AM, please ensure all the dishes have been done and put away in the cupboards and take all your rubbish down to the bins in the garage.

  • Should the apartment left in an excessive messy condition, an extra cleaning charge will occur.

  • Please leave keys on the kitchen bench with the apartment. Ensure the door is locked. If you have a vehicle parked in the garage, please MAKE SURE to drive out your car first (because you need the key to access the garage), then one person can go back to the apartment and place the key on the kitchen bench.

  • If keys are not left in the apartment, a lock replacement charge of $150 will occur

Payment Policy

To confirm reservations the applicable tariff shall be paid in advance at the time of booking. The booking is not confirmed until a credit card has been lodged for security and the rent received. Should the booking period be longer than one month, payments can be paid monthly in advance upon agreement between the two parties. Payments made by credit card are subject to a bank surcharge of 3%.
All prices are quoted are in NZ dollars.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 30 days prior to arrival full refund.
Cancellation 7 days prior to arrival (2pm local time) 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 7 days in advance,no refund.
If you arrive and decide to leave early, the nights not used are not refundable.
