Motel Room — NightlyThese are comfortable serviced units that offer a small kitchenette and a dining table and chairs. There is a large private area in front of these units and views over beautiful farmland. The peace and quiet is fantastic and guests often report how well they have slept. Native birds are in abundance and you can just sit back and relax on the veranda and enjoy your holiday

Self Contained Units — NightlyThese are motels without the frills. The units are not serviced. One unit has a Queen and two single bunk beds, and the other unit has a Queen and four single bunk beds. Bathroom and a small kitchenette with table and chairs. Only the main bed is made up fully and we have bedding available for hire for the other beds which have the bottom sheets and pillows and pillow cases. A free to air TV is in the main room.

Standard Cabin — NightlyThese Cabins are a one room unit. There is a double bunk bed with three singles. Also in the cabin is a table and chairs and a heater. Facilities such as showers/toilets/kitchen/laundry, etc are shared in the main building. Plates, cups, KFS, pots and pans, etc can be borrowed from the office on arrival.
There are bottom sheets on all of the beds and if you do not wish to bring your own bedding or sleeping bag, we have sets available for hire.
One double bunk bed with a single bunk above and two separate single bunks. Bedding/linen hire and towels can be hired. Includes the use of all facilities on the farm. PLEASE SELECT THE DOG FEE ON THE EXTRAS IF YOU ARE STAYING WITH A DOG. If you are bringing your dog with you during your stay, please take note of the following: * Only non-aggressive breed dogs are allowed at the park (please check with us first!) * No dogs sleeping on our beds, dogs must have their own bedding. * Dogs must be on a lead and be fully under control at all times and there are areas of the park where they cannot go. * All dog feces must be cleared away. |

Powered Sites — NightlyWe try to give our powered sites as much room as possible so they are spacious and quiet. We have 12 powered (only four are available through ibex) sites so advance booking for groups or peak times such as Christmas/New Year/Easter is highly recommended.

If you desire the space, peace and the clean country air, SMITHS FARM HOLIDAY PARK is the place for you. Smiths Farm in proud to offer a quality holiday and has been rated as 4+STAR and Enviro Silver by Qualmark.
Situated on a working beef farm, the park is a base from which to relax, explore the Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand or an ideal stopover if you are travelling to or from the North Island. We are 30 minutes from the ferry.
The Park, constructed in 1997, is spacious and quiet, never crowded, and has clean, modern facilities, comfortable standard cabins, self contained units, and motels.
Flat powered and non powered sites are ideal for campers, caravans and campervans. Groups are easily accommodated and the park is an ideal location for low cost conferences, seminars and team building.
There are a number of farm and bush walks highlighting the natural history and the farming heritage of the area to explore during your stay. Located 4km from the Anakiwa end of the Queen Charlotte Track courtesy pick up and drop off is available.
Smiths Farm is situated 22km from Picton and 14km from Havelock on a working beef farm on the Queen Charlotte Drive at Linkwater in the Marlborough Sounds.
The park is spacious, private, quiet and safe as facilities, sites and play areas are well away from the road.
A bush and farm walk is an opportunity to mingle with the farm animals at leisure, bird watch or visit the abundant glow worms at night. Friendly farm animals provide hours of enjoyment for children and adults alike. The nearest beach is 3 km away at Anakiwa with Moetapu Bay only 6 km away. Both are sheltered and safe.
The Queen Charlotte Track is only 4 km away and half day or longer walks can be conducted easily. Mountain bikes are permitted on the track and the hire bikes available from the park are ideal to take for a days touring. Popular sea kayaking can be conducted from Anakiwa.
The size of the park allows the hosts Chris and Barbara Faulls to provide a friendly and courteous service to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one.
Property Facilities
The modern ablution block includes commercial laundry facilities, a large kitchen and dining area, television, and private toilets and showers. The limited numbers ensure there are no long waits and allow facilities to be well maintained and kept clean.
A large covered and shaded outdoor seating area is attached to the ablution block. Spacious Standard Cabins, Self Contained Units and Motels that sleep 4 - 5 are available. For your added enjoyment we now also have a private cottage that sleeps one couple and a child or two singles. The park is the perfect base from which to relax or seek adventure.

Location / Distances
The local area has many activities that can be reached within 15 minutes including:
Sea Kayaking: from Anakiwa ( base station is just 500m away ) or from several other companies operating out of Picton or Havelock.
Mountain Biking: The Queen Charlotte Track or the scenic local roads. Hire bikes are available at Smiths Farm
Horse Trekking: 30minutes away. Trek the hills or swim the horse in the river. Beaches: Within 4km there are several safe swimming beaches.
Boat Trips: For fishing, diving, observing the green lip mussel farming process, garden tours, doing the mail boat run or just sightseeing, these are available from nearby Picton or Havelock.
Tramping: The start of the Queen Charlotte Track is only 4km away. With options for all fitness levels ranging from five day tramps to easy day walks. The Waikakaho Track, also 4km away, has been recently redeveloped and follows the old goldminers trail.
Restaurants: The Linkwater Country Inn, 2km away has a restaurant and bar. The Clansman, The Slip Inn and the Mussel Pot restaurant, specialising in delicious green lip mussel meals are just 15 minutes drive away in Havelock.
For those wanting a little extra dining adventure, drive to Te Mahia, catch the water taxi and sample the foods of St Omer.
Dairy/ Service Station: This is situated 2km away and holds most daily requirements. It is the only local service station selling petrol/diesel.

Directions to Property
We are 22 km from Picton and are easy to find once you get on the Queen Charlotte Drive near the ferry terminals at Picton.
We are on the long Linkwater straight in the farmland.
If coming from Havelock we are 14 km along the Queen Charlotte Drive which starts at the Blenheim side of Havelock.
Whichever direction you come from look for our letter box number (1419).

1st night payment is required as deposit.
Full payment on arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Should a site or accommodation booking be cancelled prior to or during the period of reservation, then the proprietor will make reasonable effort to re-let the site, and if able to do so then any sum paid will be refunded less a $20 administration fee. If the site or accommodation is unable to be re-let then all or part of any sum paid will be forfeited as liquidated damages at the discretion of the proprietor
Child Policy
Children 3 and under can stay for free. Our child rate applies from 4 to 15 years of age.

The standard check in time is 2 pm. Earlier check in is possible by arrangement.
