Houhora Heads (Wagener) Holiday Park offers you a quality authentic NZ family beachside camping experience.

We don't pretend to be a Northland holiday resort but our aim is to make sure you have a great Far North camping experience (and we provide a lot of the facilities resorts boast about!).

Regardless whether you've got a campervan, a motorhome, a family tent, a backpackers tent, or if you're wanting to stay in a caravan or cabin we can probably look after you. Whether you're wanting just an overnight stop as you tour the North, or if you want to get into some of the country's best fishing, or if you're just looking for a place to get away from it all and spend time in a beautiful environment we know you'll enjoy your stay with us and no matter how long you stay we're sure that when you leave you'll be wishing you had more time!

Sited right on the Houhora Heads Harbour we have powered and non-powered campervan, caravan, motorhome and tent sites, secluded or harbour view sites, a pet friendly area set aside for campers with pets, and cabins with fabulous views of the Houhora harbour entrance.

Kitchens, showers, toilets, bbq areas, boat wash area and boat ramp.

General Room Facilities

There is a communal fully equipped kitchen and a shower and toilet block.

Car Parking

General parking on or near all sites and parking area outside front of cabins.

Location / Distances

Roughly 75 minutes from Cape Reinga and 40 minutes from Kaitaia

Check-In Time

Between 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm

10:00 am

8am - 7pm

Payment Policy

We have booked you in however you do need to CONFIRM the booking WITHIN 3 DAYS by providing your credit card details for the non-refundable 20% deposit to be deducted, you can provide your credit card details using the secure link at the bottom of this email.
If we do not receive these details from you within 3 days this booking will be cancelled and the sites will be reopened for other guests to book.

PLEASE NOTE: For all bookings arriving between 26th Dec - 3rd Jan we will be deducting full payment of the booking from your card on the 1st Dec or the date the booking is made, whichever is the latter. Thank-you kindly.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to fourteen days before the booked date incur no extra fee other than the non-refundable applicable fee. Where a cancellation is made with less than 14 days' notice there will be a cancellation fee and the amount refunded will depend on our ability to re-let the facility. There is no refund for a cancellation made within 48 hours of the booked dates or for early termination of a booking made either before or after check-in.

Check In Policy

Is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and /or late check-out is by arrangement.
