Greg and Jacquelene invite you to enjoy the comforts of Aldan Lodge Motel in Picton - the gateway to Marlborough and the scenic South Island of New Zealand.
We are situated in a very central location being mere metres from Picton waterfront, ferry terminal and railway station. Shopping, bars and restaurants are all a short stroll away.
We offer a range of motel accommodation options: Queen studio units, spacious split-level family units and two-bedroom units, all fully self-contained.
Property Facilities
Self-catered motel units with one free parking per unit. We have a trailer lane that must be booked as it is popular.
General Room Facilities
All of our units have cooking facilities, a bathroom and 50+ SkyTV MySky decoders and Free WiFi,. The 1 Bedroom mezzanine's have an extra TV and MySky decoder in each mezzanine.
Car Parking
Each Unit has one free car park. We have a trailer lane that suits one vehicle with trailer. Reversing into the trailer lane is highly recommended. (This MUST be booked and is not free for all)

Additional Information
Although we accept pets, please let us know before hand if you are bringing a pet, to ensure that we have a room available for yourself and your pet.
Payment Policy
Credit card details are required to secure reservations.
All accounts are payable on the day of arrival for direct bookings, and for Agent bookings when the booking becomes non-refundable (most often 2 days before the date of stay).
No Shows are subject to a business standard of a minimum of one night charge of the full booking amount.
We reserve the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid by the due date. A 2% credit card surcharge applies to credit card bookings.
All accounts are payable on departure unless previously arranged. We reserve the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid by the due date.
If payment of an account is not received by due date we reserve the right to add the following charges:
Interest of 2.5% per month on outstanding balances plus
An administration fee of $50.00 plus any debt collection and/or legal fees incurred to recover the debt.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy:
I agree to pay a cancellation fee of 100% of total amount of the booking to Aldan Lodge Motel if I cancel with less than 2 days (i.e. 48 hours) notification prior to the 2pm check-in. Non-group bookings cancelled outside of the 48 hours may cancel free of charge unless the actual booking had special conditions such as non-refundable bookings sold at a discounted rate on the day of sale.
No shows incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% as the motel was not afforded the opportunity to resell the room to someone else.
Group Bookings Cancellation Policy below:
GROUPS BOOKED OUTSIDE 30 DAYS - are required to cancel no less than 30 day prior to arrival . If cancellation occurs within the 30 days a fee equal to 1 night's accommodation will be charged for the whole group.; 30-14 days, 2 rooms can be cancelled without penalty. Payment must be made no later than 14 days before the date of stay, and is non-refundable beyond that point.
GROUPS BOOKED INSIDE 30 DAYS are required to cancel no less than 14 days prior to arrival . If cancellation occurs within the 14 days a fee equal to 1 night's accommodation will be charged for the whole group.; 14-0 days, 2 rooms can be cancelled without penalty.
GROUPS WHO BOOK AND CANCEL INSIDE 14 DAYS will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% for the first night's accommodation.;
No shows incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the first nights stay.
Child Policy
Children under 2 years of age stay free, unless a separate bed or a cot is required.
Check In Policy
Checkin is available from 2.00pm on the day of arrival.
Checkout is 10am on the day of departure.
Early checkin and /or checkout is by arrangement and may incur additional charges.
Internet usage: It is prohibited to illegally download copyright materials. By logging into our system, you accept that you are responsible for the content of the download.
Visitors are permitted at the management's discretion. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest.
Pets are welcome by arrangement only, with a surcharge of $10 per pet per night. Animals are not allowed in a vehicle overnight due to noise issues as well as for the safety of the animals. Please clean up after your pets. Any damage and mess caused by pets and their owners will be charged to the primary guest.
Please ensure that you bring your pet's bedding along, as pets are not allowed on the furniture and beds.
