Located on the shores of Lake Benmore, five minutes from the Omarama township.
The Park offers a quiet, tree sheltered camping spot with close walking access to the lake and the renowned Ahuriri River (great fishing and boating!). The A2O cycletrack is on our doorstep.
Offering:
15 Ensuite campsites, each with private bathroom (toilet, hot shower and basin) and two power points.
Also powered and non-powered sites using a Shared Bathroom.
All campsites are large with drinkable water supplied (ultra-violet light purified) and picnic table.
2 self-contained Cottages (2 and 3 bedroom), sleeping 2 - 10 people.
Our character shared Kitchen/lounge area is fully equipped. Also laundry with washing machines and outside clothesline.
We offer caravan/boat storage options.
Dogs by arrangement only.
Location / Distances
Located beside the Ahuriri arm of Lake Benmore on State Highway 83. Just 5 minutes drive from Omarama and 10 minutes drive from Otematata.

Payment Policy
Full payment is to be made on arrival.
Credit card details collected at the time of booking may be used to charge for late arrival, early departure, no shows, extras not paid for and damage/theft.

Peak Summer bookings (20th December – Waitangi Day)
If you wish to cancel your booking or amend your dates, you must notify us by the 1st November to receive a full refund of your deposit. After the 1st November deposits are not refundable.
Two weeks prior to arrival date the total price of your booking becomes liable to be paid.
Bookings at all other Times
For changes to confirmed dates or full cancellations: Deposits are fully refundable up until 4 weeks prior to arrival date. From 4 weeks to 2 weeks prior to arrival deposits are 50% refundable.

In General
If you are unable to fulfil your booking because of covid restrictions or other exceptional circumstances, then we will refund your deposit in full. However, if you are able to come, but you choose not to, then there will be no refund.
Lake Benmore Holiday Park:
• will consider exceptional circumstances at our discretion as to changes to bookings and full cancellations.
• reserves the right to:
- accept or decline any booking at its sole discretion
- change the site location of a booking
- change our prices
• accepts no liability where we cannot fulfil a booking due to circumstances outside of our control.
Child Policy
Under 5 years (free of charge),

Check In Policy
Check in after 2pm on day of arrival and check out before 10.30am on day of departure. We are happy to be flexible with these times but please discuss this with us first.
CAMP RULES
Noise
We are a family camp and expect campers to respect their neighbour’s peace and quiet. We therefore do not tolerate nuisance noise at any time and particularly not after 10.30pm. Exceptions will be made on New Year’s eve.
Rubbish, Recycling, Compost
In this fragile, remote environment, we all need to minimise our waste. Please think about the rubbish that you will produce over your holiday time and how it could be reduced. Only reasonable daily quantities accepted. Large holiday packaging/broken items to be taken home.
Outside Lights
The Maori recognized Omarama as the ‘Place of Light’ As well as receiving record sunshine hours, the evening and night time light in this area is unique and special. The Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve which is close by, officially recognises this. In order to appreciate our night sky, we only allow outside lighting that is essential and subdued.
No outside decorative lights (e g fairy lights) permitted.

Behaviour
We reserve the right to ask any person/group to leave who behaves in a socially unacceptable way, disturbs other guests, or breaks the camp rules. No refund will be given.
