Each of our chalets feature a Queen-sized bed with an electric blanket. There is a sofa bed available that can be made up on request. Maximum occupancy is 2 people.

The ensuite contains a vanity, toilet and high-pressure shower, and our ramp-accessible chalet has a wet-floor shower.

The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, hotplate, rice cooker, toaster and cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities.

There is also 4-person dining table and chairs, and a Veon 40-inch LCD TV with digital Freeview reception.

In addition to this, each chalet has its own private balcony with outdoor table and chairs. We are pleased to provide
free, secured, and unlimited Wifi to all of our guests.

Adjacent to the chalets we have a communal gas barbeque area. The barbeque has a side burner and a large BBQ table, for the use of all guests.

Directions to Property

Please note- if you are coming from the South or West and follow Google Maps you will be directed through the back roads. This will mean you bypass Motueka. If you need supplies, please ensure you enter 'Motueka' as your inital destination and our address following that.

From Nelson
1. Take the coastal highway through Mapua and Tasman to Motueka for approximately 30 minutes.
2. Proceed through Motueka and Riwaka along Highway 60.
3. Travel through the Riwaka township and past the Riwaka Hotel (on the left).
4. Instead of rounding the next bend, take the road directly ahead, which is Dehra Doon Rd.
6. Approximately 1.3km up Dehra Doon Road you will see the sign for Terraced Chalets.
7. Turn in and take the driveway to the left up the hill. The reception office is to the left. If unattended please ring the bell.

From the West Coast (Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier, Greymouth)
1. Head north along Highway 6 until you reach Greymouth.
2 .Take Highway 7 to Reefton.
3. Then Highway 69 through to Inangahua.
4. Turn right here, you are back on Highway 6 to Murchison.
5. Continue on highway 6 through Buller, until you reach a left turn to Tapawera and Motueka
6. Take this road through the Motueka Valley to Motueka.
7 .On reaching Motueka, (supermarkets are located here for supplies if required) turn left into High Street.
8.Proceed through Motueka, over the bridge, to Riwaka on Highway 60.
9. Travel through the Riwaka township and past the Riwaka Hotel (on the left).
10.Instead of rounding the next bend, take the road directly ahead, which is Dehra Doon Rd.
11. Approximately 1.3km up Dehra Doon Road you will see the sign for Terraced Chalets. Turn in and take the driveway to the left up the hill. The reception office is to the left. If unattended please ring the bell.

Inland route from Christchurch
1. Head north along the Highway until you see the turn off for Hamner Springs (before Waipara), follow along Highway 7 through Maruia Springs and Murchison.
2. From here, take the above directions from Murchison.
The drive from Christchurch to the Chalets is approximately 6 hours, with rest breaks.

Abel Tasman National Park is a 15 minute drive away, and Kaiteriteri beach is just 10 minutes down the road. For those that love New Zealand's golden beaches, Golden bay is just a 50 minute drive over the hill. The chalets are perfectly situated to enjoy many of New Zealand's best wineries and breweries, and Motueka not only has the nearest supermarkets and general stores, but it boasts some of the top food outlets around, all just 10 minutes down the road.
