Our hostel is a small, cozy, friendly and warm Swiss chalet style backpackers. Providing excellent accommodation for the independent and budget conscious traveler
Forest walking and mountain bike tracks are just up the road, thermal pools, shops, cafe's and restaurants are just down the road.
We offer a pleasant mix of accommodation varying from private double (ensuite) rooms to 5 bed dorm rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and we even supply your free plunger coffee, instant coffee, tea, milk (for the hot drinks), sugar, a full spice rack and a 15 minutes session on our massage chair!.

Centrally located on the main road in Hanmer Springs. Passing by the shops and supermarket after 100 meters on your right hand side.
Payment Policy
Credit cards are pre-charged by 2pm one day before arrival. If your card details are invalid or if there are insufficient funds available, your booking will automatically be cancelled. It's your responsibility to ensure we have your up-to-date card details and sufficient available funds.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations until 2 PM on the day BEFORE arrival will not incur any charges. After 2 PM on the day BEFORE arrival will incur charge for the first night's accommodation. In case of a "no show" we will charge the first 2 nights and cancel the remainder of the booking. Different policies apply to group bookings (5 or more guests).
Child Policy
Children and babies are welcome though they will have to be included while making your booking.Infants and young children are to be supervised by the accompanying adult(s) at all times. Their safety and how their behavior impacts other guests are the sole responsibility of the accompanying adult(s). Minors are not allowed to book a bed in a dorm room.
Hostel facilities are not necessarily child friendly or safe. Child safety is the sole responsibility of the accompanying parents / caretakers.
Check In Policy
Government issued I.D. and physical credit card need to be provided upon check in. Photos or copies are not acceptable
Hostel policies:
Being a small independent hostel we pride ourselves on providing our guests a comfortable, relaxing stay and a good night's sleep. Therefore we adhere to the following policies:
- Quiet time between 22:30 and 08:00
- No alcohol consumption on the premises (including the bedrooms) after 21:00. No intoxication at any time.
- No parties (stag, hen, birthday etc) and no overly rowdy behaviour.
- No playing of loud music / movies, no offensive language, no illegal substances or activities.
- Visitors are allowed with the following limitations: Visitors need to be reported to the reception. One visitor per guest, no longer than 30 minutes and only between 14:00 and 21:00, visitors are not to use shower or kitchen facilities.
These policies are strictly enforced. Please only book with us if these policies align with your intentions for your stay.
Failing to comply with our hostel policies will result in eviction without refund.
