Payment Policy
Payment Policy:
Reservations at our motel are secured at the time of booking and credit card payments are taken. All prices are inclusive of GST. For one-night bookings, full payment is taken at the time of booking, and for any other bookings, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining 50% is charged on the morning of arrival - if you wish to pay the remaining balance in cash or internet transfer, please inform us ahead of time. We accept Visa and Mastercard, but unfortunately do not accept AMEX.
Please note that there will be no refund for early departures. We also require that only one account is used per reservation, and all payments must be made in NZD.
Over peak periods, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the booking in advance.
All bookings require valid credit card details to be held on file to cover any incidentals or damages caused by the guest. These charges may include, but are not limited to: additional cleaning fees, removal of excessive rubbish, penalty fines for strong odors caused by cooking or smoking, excessive noise, disruption to other surrounding residents, penalty fines for breaking any local laws, regulations, and restrictions. Any additional charges must be settled immediately.
Pet Policy:
At our motel, we do not allow pets in our units. However, pets are permitted in the camping ground with prior arrangement, and an additional fee of $5 per dog will be charged.
We require all dog owners to be respectful of other campers and ensure that their pets are kept on a leash at all times around the property. Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings or motel units and must be kept on your site only. It is the responsibility of the owner to clean up any messes their pets may make.
Please be aware that any dogs found wandering or breaking these conditions will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our property remains clean, safe, and enjoyable for all guests.
Cancellation Policy
Guests may cancel their reservation up to 7 days before the scheduled arrival date with a flat $50 cancellation fee, regardless of when they cancel. This fee covers administrative tasks, time spent on the booking, and communication with the customer.
For cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled arrival date, the full amount of the booking will be charged to the guest's credit card.
Please note that there are no refunds for early departures or unused portions of a reservation.
Any changes or modifications to a reservation must be requested in writing and confirmed by the motel. Additional fees or charges may apply for changes made after the designated deadline.
Please be aware that ferry cancellations and other weather-related issues are beyond our control. While we'll do our best to accommodate affected guests, our standard cancellation policy remains in effect.
Considering the unpredictability of travel plans, we highly recommend guests to consider purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.
Child Policy
At Parklands Motor Lodge, we welcome families with children of all ages. However, to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, we have a child policy that all guests with children must follow.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the motel property. We ask that parents or guardians supervise their children to prevent any damage or disturbance to other guests.
To ensure that all our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, we ask that children are respectful of other guests' privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum, particularly during the evening and night hours.
We provide portable cots for infants upon request, subject to availability. Please let us know in advance if you require these facilities so we can make arrangements for you.
Please note that any damages caused by children will be charged to the guest's account. We ask that parents or guardians take responsibility for their children's actions and behavior while on the motel property.
