The recently upgraded accommodation features new king-sized beds, with character in keeping with the 125-year-old history of the hotel.

The restaurant prides ourselves on outstanding food, focusing on fresh local produce for the crayfish and seafood, as well as light dishes and sweet treats for coffee stops.

Directions to Property

If travelling from the North, take The Esplanade around the waterfront until you reach The Pier Hotel. If travelling from the South, as you enter Kaikoura, take the right turn at the top of the hill to the Town Centre. At the bottom of the hill turn right and follow the road until you reach The Pier Hotel.

Credit card is not charge when making the booking but when you check in.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received within 72 hours of expected arrival date may incur a charge equivalent to the first nights’ accommodation. Please notify us of any changes to your reservation by confirmed e-mail at thepier@xtra.co.nz or phone +64 3 319 5037.
