Maitai Studio — NightlyThe Maitai studio is our most basic accommodation. It offers a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, and limited cooking facilities. Downstairs, the wheelchair-accessible main apartment is spacious and bright, offering a sky-lit main room with a couch, two single bed/ sofas, dining area and open-plan full kitchen (with stove and full-size fridge). Its bedroom sleeps three on one queen and one single bed, while a desk and office chair provide a quiet place to work. The large bathroom features a roll-in shower and a single spa tub. A large covered patio seats six and is shared with the connected studio- which contains an additional queen bed, flat screen tv, a bathroom with shower plus a microwave, kettle, toaster and mini fridge, and has its own outside entrance.
The upstairs master room offers a queen bed (plus the option of an additional single bed), a fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom with shower over bath, and exterior seating- with a pleasant view from its private balcony. Property Facilities
Riverlodge offers 11 units of varying sizes, sleeping between two and seven guests- and some of our units can be connected to accommodate larger groups. Extra beds and infant cots are available upon request, and there is no charge for children under two. Our rooms offer cooking facilities, daily servicing, and off-street parking. Laundry and luggage storage are also available. Please contact us for larger group booking enquiries; we are happy to help.
Location / Distances
Riverlodge Motel is centrally located on the edge of Nelson's city centre and provides off-street parking for guests. The town centre is two blocks away, with a large selection of cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops all within a few minutes walk. In addition, Nelson's i-SITE Visitor Information Centre and Trafalgar Park are easily accessible. The Nelson Airport is 15 minutes by car, and the picturesque 11km Maitai River path is just outside your door.

Payment Policy
Bookings will be secured by the guest credit card details provided. Payment by debit, eftpos, cash, or the credit card on file can be made at the reception desk upon arrival. An additional 2% fee will applies to credit card payments.
For group bookings (10+ people or 4+ units), a 20% deposit is due upon booking, refundable until two weeks before arrival. The full payment amount (less the deposit) is due one calendar week before the date of arrival. At this point the group booking is non-refundable.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations can be made up to three calendar days before arrival date at no charge. Please note that cancellations within three days of arrival will incur full charges for those nights within that 72 hour period.
Terms and Conditions: Length of stay is conditional upon adherence to property terms and conditions. Upon violation management reserves the right to terminate the stay without refund, except for booked nights occurring more than three days after termination.
Damage Policy: The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all associated guests and visitors on the property. Damage to the motel property and any costs incurred, including those for loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest. Management reserves the right to charge an additional fee and/or one night’s accommodation for extra cleaning and loss of revenue if the unit is left tainted by food or cigarette odours.
Visitors: Visitors are permitted at the manager’s discretion. Visitors may not outnumber guests, maximum of 4 visitors. Visitors must be off the premises by 10pm. Evidence of unauthorized/ unregistered overnight guests in the unit can result in additional charges to the registered guest.
Smoking: All rooms are smoke free. Please smoke outside and as far from open windows, doors and other guests as possible. In the event of smoke being detected in the room, we reserve the right to charge the registered guest for all costs incurred in returning the room to its non-smoking status, as well as any resulting loss of income.
Disturbance and noise: The registered guest acknowledges that the room is for accommodation only. Excessive noise, unruly behavior, or complaints from other guests could result in ejection from the property without refund.
Pets Policy: Two of our units are pet-friendly. There is an additional fee of $20 per pet per night, payable at check in, in addition to a valid credit card or $200 cash deposit. All pets are to be groomed prior to arrival and be fully house trained. Pets are not allowed on any furniture and are required to have their own bed for sleeping. No pets should be left unattended in the rooms.

Check-in is available any time between 2pm and 8:30pm. Please notify us if a late check-in is anticipated. Check-out time is 10am.
