Additional Information
All our homes are smokefree inside. All linen is provided and beds are ready and made up for you. Cleaning will take place on your departure. We also provide bath towels, face flannels, tea towels, bath mats and hand towels.
Payment Policy
Payment Policy
A credit card is required as a security bond. (Even if you are paying via Internet Banking) There are no transactions taken for a security bond. This is a non transactional method for securing against damage or excess cleaning.
If you are paying by credit card we will deduct funds on the day prior to your arrival. Please note there is a 2.9% bank credit card fee on top of your tariff.
Or you may choose to pay via Internet Banking. A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance of payment due 2 weeks prior to your arrival.

Please ensure to include property ref, your name and holiday dates as a reference.
If you are unable to secure your booking with a credit card, we require a $250 bond payment at the time of booking as a bond. We will refund the bond fees after you have checked out.
If your payment fails to reach us by the due date we may choose to cancel your booking and make the property available to others. Cancellation charges apply (see below).
Cancellation Policy
If you have booked through an agent such as Airbnb, Booking.com you will need to contact them directly.
Standard Cancellation Information:
If you need to cancel a booking please let us know as soon as possible so we may offer the property to others.
Should YOU choose to cancel the booking: Our standard cancellation charges apply.
Cancellation within 14 days of the scheduled start of stay results in a cancellation charge amounting to 50.0% of the total booking charge
Cancellation within 7 days of the scheduled start of stay results in a cancellation charge amounting to 100.0% of the total booking charge
Should WE cancel the booking due to YOUR NON-PAYMENT: Should any of your payments fail to reach us by their due date we have the right to cancel the booking with or without providing you with notice. Under these circumstances our standard cancellation charges apply.
Cancellation by Owner/Manager
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, the property becomes unavailable or unfit for use, we will notify you as soon as possible and refund your money in full.
Child Policy
Children under the age of 2 years old or less are free of charge when using existing bedding or porta cots.
Baby cots and high chairs are usually available on request.
Any child requiring extra bedding will be charged for at the extra person rate.
Check In Policy
Self Check in - Check-in is from 2.00pm and Check-out 10.00am. Kaikoura Holiday Homes will send you an email approx. 5 days prior to your arrival giving you details of how to access the home. If you require different check-in / check-out times we are happy to accommodate if possible, so please contact us. Please return house keys to where you got them from.
