The living area and kitchenette are located on the deck level where there is also a lovely outside balcony to view the surrounding grazing lands and farm animals. The kitchenette features a range, microwave and refrigerator.
Two bedrooms along with the bathroom are located downstairs in the hull. One of the bedrooms has a double room with a King size bed. The other separate room features three single beds.
The bathroom features a shower and toilet. This unit is suitable for people who can handle stairs and is not recommended for elderly or people with physical limitations. It is a completely self-contained motel unit with two separate bedrooms. Air-conditioning included.
This unit can sleep up to 5 people. It has a double bed and a separate room with three single beds.
There is an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a living/eating area with kitchenette at the entrance of the train carriage. The kitchenette features an electric hob, microwave and refrigerator for light meals.

Bristol Freighter Plane - Tail — Winter SpecialOur Bristol Freighter Plane is one of the last allied planes that was flown in Vietnam. This plane is split into two motels: the cockpit and the rear tail. It is truly a one-off unique piece and there is no other such plane accommodation existing in the world.
The plane tail can sleep up to 4 people.
This motel features one double bed and a set of bunks. These bunks are slightly narrower than a normal size bunk with a steep ladder up to the top bunk.

This plane is split into two motels: the cockpit and the rear tail. It is truly a one-off unique piece and there is no other such plane accommodation existing in the world.
The cockpit can sleep up to 4 people.
It is for the true adventurer. One bed is located up in the cockpit and you must be fit to climb the steep ladder to access the controls and that sleeping area. As such the upstairs is more suited for fit children. Children MUST BE older than 8 years of age. This sleeping area can also be hot in the summer months.
The upstairs bed is unsuitable for younger children or people with physical limitations.
There is also a double bed on the lower level.

For your comfort, the interiors are scaled to regular size so no bending is necessary.
Each unit features a suite with queen bed, living area and kitchenette. There is a separate bedroom with 4 oversized single beds. In total, each motel can sleep up to 6 people making it ideal for visiting families or friends.

We are located on Waitomo Valley Road near Otorohanga. Follow signs to Waitomo Caves. We are near the cross section between Waitomo Valley Road and the start of Waitomo Village. Follow the signs that say Woodlyn Park and Kiwi Culture show. If you see a ship on dry land or a plane you have reached us.
Additional Information
We will help you guide your stay in the Waitomo Cave area with recommendations on sight seeing and can assist you with your activities including caving, blackwater rafting/tubing, abseiling, and walking tours.
Hobbiton, Hairy Feet Tour, Kawhia (Ka-fee-ah) hot water beach, and other sites such as NZ's largest water fall and a natural bridge are all easily reached from us.

Payment Policy
100% of the reservation amount is charged upon booking.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings cancelled 6 days prior to arrival will not be charged cancellation fee, bookings less than 5 days prior are charged the full reservation amount and receive no refunds.
Check In Policy
Arrivals after 5 pm follow self check in. If you are arriving after that period, please let us know and we will put the key in your respective unit(s).
